Climate Action Plans with Urban Forestry Elements

Climate Change is here - The days are hotter, sea levels are rising, extreme weather events are happening locally and globally. California is progressive in many respects in dealing with these impacts. From AB 32 to the Governor's Order S-3-05 and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Californian cities and counties are creating Climate Action Plans packed with adaptation and mitigation strategies to help lower green house gases and make suitable changes to adapt to climate change impacts. Some areas are even more progressive and have identified and put into action urban and community forestry as effective climate change solutions.

We are developing a list here of these leading Climate Actions Plans. Please contact us if you know of any others within California and nationwide that we can list. Our hope is that these Climate Action Plans with Urban and Community Forestry elements will serve as examples for other communities.
